Assessing Your Home’s Wind Resistance
At Paradise Inspections LLC, no detail is too small. Our inspections are meticulous and methodical—from structural components to hidden moisture damage. In fact, our inspector has uncovered termites, roof leaks, and plumbing issues that other inspectors missed, saving buyers thousands and helping them make smarter investments.
Our inspector is not only licensed and certified, but brings years of hands-on experience in inspections, construction and real estate. That expertise allows us to spot red flags that less experienced professionals may overlook, giving clients a critical advantage during negotiations.
You don’t have to wait for answers. We deliver clear, photo-rich inspection reports the same day as your inspection. Each report is easy to understand, with plain language and actionable next steps—whether you’re buying, selling, or planning repairs.
At Paradise Inspections LLC, we prioritize transparency, education, and support. Our inspector is available to answer questions before, during, and after the inspection. While we may not be the cheapest, our value far exceeds the price through service, reliability, and results — and we’re proud to serve Port Charlotte and the surrounding Southwest Florida area.

Wind Mitigation Inspections You Can Trust
Homeowners insurance in Southwest Florida has gotten expensive — and for some homes, hard to get at all. A wind mitigation inspection documents the features of your roof that reduce wind damage risk: the shape, how the roof deck is attached, what kind of opening protections you have. Your insurance carrier uses that report to calculate your discount. In Port Charlotte and across Charlotte County, many homeowners are saving hundreds of dollars a year on premiums after submitting a wind mitigation report. The inspection itself typically pays for itself many times over.

What is a wind mitigation inspection for?
A wind mitigation inspection in Florida is a specialized evaluation conducted to extensively and exclusively inspect your roof. We check for the structural factors that affect the wind resistance of a roof.
The primary benefit of a wind mitigation inspection is potential savings on homeowners’ insurance premiums. Florida law requires insurance companies to offer discounts or credits to homeowners who have certain wind mitigation features. By documenting these features, homeowners can qualify for reduced insurance costs, making the inspection a cost-effective measure for enhancing home safety and financial savings.
Are wind mitigation inspections mandatory?
Not required, but highly worth doing. If your home has qualifying wind-resistant features and you’re not submitting a wind mitigation report to your insurer, you’re leaving money on the table. Florida law requires carriers to offer discounts for verified wind resistance — but they won’t volunteer that information.
